Presque Isle
July 27, 2008Today we went to a fair on the peninsula. The weather was perfect and the peninsula was gorgeous. It almost makes you forget that Erie is such a dreadful place in the winter.
For those of you not from Erie, if you notice the frog in the water, there are many of those all over Erie (and a few fish too?) and we always play a game in the car of who can spot the frogs first. We yell “FROG” as loud as we can. My kids are getting familiar enough with Erie that they know where some of them are before we get to them.

Our New Toy
July 27, 2008It is Summer clearance at Target people! Run down and get your pools and lawn chairs. We picked this up the other day and our kids love it. They stand at the top and do a huge jump and land at the very bottom of the slide. If you know my kids at all…that is pretty brave for them. If you live in Erie and need something to do with your kids one day, come on over and swim!

Birthday Party
July 25, 2008
4th of July
July 25, 2008Dan’s brother John was born on the 4th of July so his wife Amanada threw a big party for him and invited all the Elton Clan as well as her family. It was held at this AMAZING pool in her parents neighborhood. We swam, ate, visited and watched fireworks. It was really fun.
Richard and Candice, Grandma Barbara and Grandpa Vaughn with Noah.
Cousin Matt.

Rupp Family Reunion
July 25, 2008My grandparents have 8 kids, seventy something grandkids and eighty something great grandkids. That makes for a really fun family reunion. Since there are so many of us and we are kind of spread out, we have a family reunion every other year. This year we had it at Cascade Lake in Idaho. We camped in tents and boated on the lake. My kids ran wild and couldn’t believe that they were related to every person there!

Dorks
June 23, 2008I don’t know what possessed me but on the day of our ward talent show I got this brilliant idea that it would be hilarious if Ashley and I learned the Napoleon Dynamite dance. We practiced for about two hours slapped on some sweat bands and moon boots and here you go…
The quality is not so good because it was recorced from a cell phone. Anyway… I am not sure that everyone in my ward understood that this was meant to be funny which is kind of embarrassing but Ashley and I sure laughed a lot. Here is the real Napoleon Dance…
