It snowed all day on Monday. Zoe was stoked to put on all of her snow gear and play in the snow. She lasted a surprisingly long time. It is now Friday and the snow has melted away but I am still trying to recover from it. I am having flashbacks of the piles of snow for days and days last winter.
We went to our ward party to celebrate Halloween this year. They had some games for the kids and then a costume parade. We ended the night with a trunk or treat out in the parking lot. We had a great time but we sure missed stopping at all the grandparents houses and seeing all the cousins in their costumes. I’m sure there was plenty of delicious things to eat at Rhonda’s house. Hope you all had a happy halloween!
We went with some friends to the Erie Zoo for some Halloween fun. When we pulled into the parking lot we made a stop before parking to talk to our friends. Zoe undid her seatbelt and opened the door a little bit. When Dan finally made the turn to pull into a parking spot, Zoe and the car seat went rolling out the door! It was so scary! She was upset but not hurt. Hopefully she learned her lesson, the poor girl! Here are some pictures of our happier times at the Zoo:
Ashley and I got all spontaneous a couple of weeks ago and somehow talked our husbands into going on a weekend trip to Pittsburgh. We stayed in a hotel downtown. We saw the city up close and personal on our hour long, 3 mile trek to the Carnegie Science Center. (The front desk lady told us it was a fifteen mintue walk. Someone needs to enlighten her.) Anyway, we had a great time.
I took a cake decorating class this last month. I’ve always wanted to learn how to do fondant cakes. This is my first complete cake:
It was really fun. I am glad I did it. Thanks to Dan for keeping the kids these past four Monday nights, even though he has a tough school schedule this semester.
