Gabe

September 6, 2007

I’m just thinking about my little Gabe a lot lately since this kindergarten thing started. I get sad sometimes when me and Zoe do fun things like eat cookies while we grocery shop or go to the zoo without him. Every day I pick him up and can’t wait to hear what he is going to say about his day. I get so excited when he tells me how much he likes “doing work” or tells me the new French words he learned or tells me about a new friend he has made (he came home with a friends phone number scrawled out on a paper and asked me to call him for a play date). I freak out when he says he doesn’t like gym or hints that maybe someone wasn’t as nice to him as I think they should be. Only to find that the next day, gym is his favorite class and mr. meanie-head is his new best friend. I guess I will get used to the ups and downs of kindergarten life eventually.

Today when I picked him up he told me that Dora and Diego were baby shows. I asked him if that was his opinion or if a friend at school had told him that. He told me that he flew a rocket ship to where the creators (of Dora and Diego) lived and asked them if it was a baby show and they confirmed that it was. I told him that I happened to like Dora and Diego. He countered with “Well, it is a show for babies and girls!” It finally came out that his friend Eli also thinks it is a baby show. I told him that I didn’t think the show was a baby show and I was still going to watch it and he could too if he wanted. Then I hear in a little high-pitched voice from the back seat “Baby!” It was such a Dan thing to do I couldn’t help but laugh.

Here is my kindergarten cutie:

The Zoo

September 6, 2007

We went to the Zoo for playgroup yesterday. I meant to bring my camera but didn’t. So, I decided to post some pictures of a zoo trip we took in July when my parents were here (since I didn’t get around to blogging at that time).

Does anyone else think Noah is a clone of my dad?

We had a great time when my parents were here in July. Besides going to the Zoo we went to Palmyra, New York and stayed the night there. We went to the Hill Cumorah pageant, The Sacred Grove and the Martin Harris Farm. It was so neat. Mike and Amber were there as well some of Amber’s Family (the Clark’s). Ryan Clark was one of the Nephi’s in the Pageant. It was good to spend time with everyone. I think the pictures are on another computer…oh well, maybe some other day.

Labor Day

September 4, 2007

Labor Day brought a rare ocassion for us. Dan did not have school, he did not have to help anyone move, and he did not have to do anything relating to Young Men’s. We were so glad to have our daddy all to ourselves we decided we better get out of the house and do something as a family. We ended up going to the Waterford Fair with some friends. It was a 4-H type of fair about twenty minutes away. We just ate some “fair food” and checked out the animals. Here are a few pictures:
